Cooking/Food
Ovens
The diagram below best describes how the Aboriginals cooked a majority of their food.
Especially in small communities these ovens were prepared by families who would prepare food in the night and collect it in the morning for a great breakfast.
Fish, nuts, beans, berries, fruits and all sorts of food would be wrapped in wet grass, or green bark and be cooked in an oven.

Roasting
To Roast a Possum or Bird the Indigenous Australians would let a fire die down til the flesh or meat of an animal could be cooked.
Many Fish and Eels were cooked in this way, as they were plentiful in the Warnambool area.
There were several methods to roast a possum, one included stuffing the gutted insides with herbs and letting the meat soak up the flavour.
One method for cooking eel was to bury it in the ground til it became slightly spoiled, they would then roast it in the embers of a previous fire, this was considered a delicacy.
